4 Reasons Why Mask Wearing is Ruining Your Child’s Social Skills

You may not have thought much about how mask wearing is damaging to humans but watch this short video that explains the reasons.

Or read the transcription here….

  • Masks cover the mouth so children cannot coordinate emotions with facial expressions. Their emotional intelligence falls quickly.

  • When someone can’t register emotions of another human, the risk is that they will treat others without emotions. They won’t consider the other person’s feelings at all. And they could develop narcissistic tendencies.

  • Mask wearing prevents necessary human interactions. It suppresses the desire to connect with others and forces the observer to live in his own little world.

  • Mask wearing muffles someone’s voice. It makes it difficult to accurately hear what someone is saying.

  • Since behavior is often based on what is heard in a conversation, wearing a mask is a perfect setup for sending the message to children that “You will never understand what someone else is saying.”

How will this play out later in life when it’s a foundational belief of that child?

That do even more!

Plea to Parents:

You must help your children regain their people watching ability, especially if your children are young. These years are critical for their social skills to develop to a high level. People watching skills – face recognition – helps them learn to act like a reasonable, caring human during their lifetime.

But how will you do it when mask mandates could continue for another two years?

For the children, you will do it with the Who Was That Baby book series. For anyone age 11 and up, you will do it with the Who Was That Person book series.

And together, your family will end up better than ever with face identification skills better than you can ever imagine.
